Thanks to Dave Prisby of Hodgesville, WV for contributing this patch. He said he found a stack of 'em at a flea market.
My Father founded the Irish War Veterans along with a gentleman named Ed Flaherty shortly after WWI and this is identical to the patch he had on his National Commander's Uniform.
Fred, I thought I had previously replied to your post. Good to know who we're the far-sighted Irish-Americans. I'd like to add them both as Founders Emeritus and add you as the Historian.
